Thank you to everyone who joined us for “Learn, Design, Plant: A Beginner’s Guide to Native Landscaping,” featuring Haeley Giambalvo from the Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT). It was a welcoming and encouraging session—perfect for anyone just starting their native plant journey.
Haeley shared beginner-friendly tips and tools that took the mystery out of native landscaping, from understanding site conditions and plant selection to using trusted resources that help set new gardeners up for success. Her practical guidance made native plants feel approachable, doable, and—most importantly—fun.
This presentation was a great reminder that you don’t need to do everything at once. With the right tools and a little curiosity, anyone can begin designing and planting landscapes that support local ecosystems.
A big thank-you to Haeley and NPSOT for helping us grow confidence alongside our native plants. Let’s keep learning, designing, and planting—one step at a time. 🌿
