Board President (Members Only)
Do you love native plants and want to lead the organization in fulfillment of our mission and chapter goals? Our chapter needs your talents! In the President role, you will lead the activities of the board of directors as an officer, work with other committed members to determine the organization’s strategy to meet our mission goals, and develop partnerships and collaborations with other organizations. Attendance at our monthly board meetings is required. This is a great opportunity to lead and contribute toward our chapter’s future.
Board Secretary (Members Only)
Love keeping things organized and helping a chapter run like a well-oiled machine? The Secretary plays a key role in keeping Wild Ones DFW connected and on track—setting meeting dates, times, and locations; keeping members in the loop; recording and publishing meeting minutes; maintaining chapter records; supporting officer nominations and elections; and making sure everything we do aligns with our bylaws. This is a principal officer role open to current Wild Ones DFW members, with a manageable time commitment of about one hour per week from January through October 2026.
Board Treasurer (Members Only)
If numbers, organization, and transparency are your thing, the Treasurer is a vital leadership role that keeps Wild Ones DFW financially healthy and mission-ready. Serving as the chapter’s chief financial officer, this role supports everything from fundraising events, donations, grants, and plant sales to tax reporting and financial documentation—working closely with chapter officers, board members, and Wild Ones National to keep operations running smoothly and responsibly. The Treasurer is a principal officer, must be a current Wild Ones DFW member, and plays a collaborative part in making all our programming possible.
Board Members (Members Only)
Are you interested in working with other passionate board and/or committee members to determine how our chapter can best deliver on its mission? Would you enjoy managing projects to help our chapter thrive and increase our impact in the community? Board members attend our monthly virtual board meetings and work to ensure we are delivering on our mission objectives. By joining our board, you will help us make meaningful positive change while bonding with other passionate native plant people.
Outreach Event Tabling (Members Only)
Do you enjoy speaking with people about native plants and the resources we offer? We are always looking for members across each region to represent our chapter at events!
